Well my memoir suddenly will not charge or sync any longer via the port on the phone ?
I sent it to samsung as it was under warranty,they email me back and say it is water damaged and my warranty is now void ..... Huh

WTH ??

This has not been water damaged and if it was the phone would not work perfect,all functions are fine,even the micro sd slot that is next to the supposed water damaged sync port,camera,everything works,no signs of water damage I can see and nobody uses my phones.

So samsung is a joke and the cold one way emails are lame as well,tried to talk to a supervisor,was transferred 4 times and on hold for well over 45 minutes before my battery died.

But I got a please review your samsung experience email yesterday and gave them my view of this senario with them and my phone and how I felt about the whole thing....

So now that I got that out and yes I do feel a little better ... Wink

Is there anyway to do a wireless sync as I want to do the opera / google maps hack or is it possible to do from the micro sd ?

I have a 16gb micro sd card if that helps ?

Well I ended up calling samsung and this P.O.S. cannot even wireless sync ... Roll Eyes

I will never buy a samsung again after this experience and good luck getting warranty service,they will make up some B.S. not to fix it.... Undecided

Oh and samsungs reason why there is no wireless sync ....it is not a smartphone .... Cheesy

I just traded one of my iphones for a HTC fuze and now there is a real smartphone that does have wifi and works great,awesome little phone so this craptastic memoir is off to craigslist,it makes me sick to look at it...


Do not support samsung...they do not care about your issues with their junk.

You should have called TMo support.  I got a replacement phone 3 months after I got mine - no hassle at all.

They will only ask you to open the battery compartment and tell them if the small square is white or red.  If white - OK.  If red - it indictes water damage.  If you tell them white and return it after getting replacement (comes with return UPS prepaid return lable) and it is red - they will charge $100 only I believe. 

That would be a good tradeoff for a replacement phone in this case.
