I found this little hack over on TMOnews that I thought I would put over here. It allows you to minimize apps instead of closing them completely. Say you get your TELENav trip all setup and you forgot your phone was on vibrate. Hit the end key and you will have the option to minimize the app turn up your volume and resume the app.

Go to Admin Settings *#6984125*#
Go to Internals
master key *#9072641*#

Go to Java settings

Go to VM setting

Go to VM Mode
click on MVM & user allow back...
go back to previous screen by pressing back key
click on MVM MIDlet max count (this is only if you want to be able to run multiple apps)
choose the amount of apps you would like to be able to run at one time
go back by pressing back button
click on MVM user End key option
click on Hide & pause

Thanks a lot!  It makes it that more wonderful!

Note: Don't forget the *  and  # when entering the master code.

awesome, thanks! it seems to work, had my gmail and telenav minimized.

it probably gonna drain the battery even faster and it doesn't really tell you what you have minimized (until you go to the menu where the application is and you see a small icon on the side), so i hope i don't forget about it...

Doesn't work on the web browser for some reason. Seems to only work on the apps in your Games and Apps folder.

Hey Jam welcome to the site. I have been learning on the the fly since I got this phone as well. Yes you are entering the numbers just like you are dialing a phone number.

it only works on java apps. like everything in the games folder. it doesnt work for the web browser. if you have opera mini though, it works.
