My new Memior should arrive tommorow, and I'm a little confused on what it does, or how it's going to work.  I'm totally new to accessing the internet on a mobile phone.  The ads for the memoir said it was "real web browsing"  So I think I prematurely assumed it would browse the web similar to my bro's iphone.  But then I read a few reviews that said the web browsing wasn't that great. 

I have been a t-mobile customer for over two years.  But never had a "Data Plan" or used my old phone for internet at all. 

The T-mobile people said I could add a "WEB2GO" package at $9.99 a month to access the internet or a "DataPlan" for $24.99.  I asked what the advantage was to paying more for the Data plan and didn't really seem to get a decent answer.  I know the blackberry's and the G1 google phone NEED the dataplan to work.  I asked several times, the memoir and the behold can use the $9.99 package.

Now I'm reading this forums and it seems there use to be a $7 internet package that did the same thing, but cost less.  Moreover (Am I reading this right) with the new $10 internet package you can not use the custom apps (like the opera browser)

Just looking for advice on what to do with my new phone, should I even bother with the $10 internet package.  Should I call and complain about being a long time customer and beg for the $7 package?   If so, what exactly is that package called?

Well I called tmo last week and I added the $10 tzones plan without a hitch. The only downside is that you can't use any third party apps that require the internet. None of the tzone sites work for me but that it is an entirely different issue.
