Computer not recognizing SD card in phone. Why? Please help

Hello, I have a SD card for my phone and it's not showing up as a mass storage device anymore on my computer. It used to show up with another drive letter when I went to "my computer" on my pc. I've since changed phones (my 1st one broke). When I plug my USB cable into my computer, the computer is not recognizing the storage device. It charges fine so I know the USB end on the computer is working. I have tried reinstalling the USB software from the Verizon disk and also removed and reinstalled the card from the phone and both didn't work. If anyone could please give some suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance, George

to setup the memoir as a mass storage device you have to go into settings.

menu. settings , phone settings . "USB settings" , then click the option to either have the phone act as modem automatically. or a mass storage automatically when connected to a computer via usb.

SkyG, when i go through those steps my last three options are 1. Samsung PC Studio 2. Ask on Connection, and 3. Mass Storage

How do I get the "modem" option?
