'Just wanted to say hi!  I just got this phone a couple of weeks ago on craigslist and have been pretty happy with it thus far.

Pros:

Pics
Decent Touchscreen

Cons:
Headphone Jack Cover- A serious design misstep by samsung.  Makes it hard to use this phone as a primary MP3 player.
Battery Life-  Mine barely makes it through the day

I want everybody who's contemplating on buying this phone to do some research first.  After you do please head to Amazon.com where if you currently are not a t-moible customer, you can get this phone for $50 on a 2 year contract.  And best of all- NO DATA PLAN REQUIRED!  Maybe this will help make your decision easier  Grin

Frys electronics also has a 16gb Polaroid Micro SD card on sale for $28 before taxes and after rebate.  Perfect for storing all those pics, movies and videos.   Grin

I noticed when I changed my display settings-lcd brightness to 1 (and its not that bad to get used to) the battery started lasting waaaaay longer.

Now, I text a lot on my phone through the work day and I never had an issue with all the battery bars being gone in one day, so that doesn't sound right about yours... Unless you're using the phone a LOT more than me.

You're right.  I tried your suggestion and my battery life was much better today.  I had the setting on automatic (level was around 4) changed it to one and only went down 2 bars.  I use my phone as my primary MP3 player so yes I use it a lot.  Thx  Smiley
