Let me start off first by saying that this is probably my own fault. Unfortunately, I have a terrible habit keeping my phone in my back pocket, where it often falls out, and I've been negligent to buy a case for my Memoir. I totally regret it now.

I'm assuming it's because I drop my phone too often, at but first my camera's lens cover wouldn't open, and I would just kinda pry it open. About two or three weeks later, I noticed my camera would take several tries to focus. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. Nowadays, It hardly even tries to focus, and everything is just straight blurry.

I bought this phone off ebay, so I can't send it back to T-mobile for a replacement. All the other functions work perfectly fine, it's just this camera problem (except this is pretty much the feature I use most). Any sort of info, even if it can't be helped, would be very appreciated. I've learned my lesson

The lens thing is an on going problem with the phone.  If you can't return it to the place that you purchased it, you may have to get creative with the lens cover.  This is my 2nd phone going back to TMobile because the lens doesn't stay open.  As for the focus thing, I haven't had that problem.  The only time that happens is when I forget to put the focus back on "auto focus" in settings under "AUTO FOCUS".

Yeah my problem isn't that the lens won't open...it's like it THINKS it's focusing, but it does it wrong. I can see the screen as it tries to adjust the focus, and hear it actually doing something, it just can't quite get it to focus.
Every once in a while it will focus correctly, but usually I have to gently tap it on a hard surface for a few minutes and that seems to "fix it."
It will work after that until I exit the camera program. Start process over.

Edited to say the camera is the ONLY reason I purchased a Memoir.
